An Abuja Federal High Court has today granted bail to sixty-seven minors, each set at ten million naira, for charges of treason linked to the #EndBadGovernance protests.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu mandated that each minor, all under 15, must secure one civil servant as a surety.
The minors, part of a larger group of protesters calling for governmental reform, were detained alongside adult demonstrators.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Bar Association has called for a review of the charges, emphasizing the importance of protecting youths’ rights to free expression.
