The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a detailed electoral timetable for 2025 and 2026, which includes five major elections and the nationwide resumption of Continuous Voter Registration.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, made the announcement today during the second quarterly consultative meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners in Abuja.
In a statement on its official X handle, the electoral body noted that it is preparing for a busy period with several key polls scheduled across different states.
Yakubu added that the full timetable will be uploaded to INEC’s official platforms later this week for public access.
