The Presidency has dismissed as false and mischievous, reports alleging that Vice President Kashim Shettima was denied access to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
In a statement released today, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, described the claims as “totally fabricated” and designed to create the impression of a rift between President Bola Tinubu and his deputy.
The statement said the report circulated by obscure blogs alleged that military personnel blocked the Vice President from entering the Villa.
Nkwocha condemned the report, calling it a weak attempt to defame the person and office of Vice President Shettima, saying such claims were the “wildest expression of wishful thinking” by those trying to sow discord within the government.
