President Bola Tinubu has said his administration is determined to reclaim ungoverned forest areas in the North West and across Nigeria by investing in advanced surveillance and technology to combat terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.
Speaking at a state dinner with Katsina elders and leaders yesterday night, President Tinubu said his government will invest more in technology and take over the forests.
His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, released the statement today detailing the President’s remarks.
President Tinubu emphasised that national security is key to attracting investment, and he promised to support terrorism victims.
He also thanked former governor Aminu Masari for his support during the 2023 elections and acknowledged the leadership roles of Katsina indigenes, describing former President Muhammadu Buhari as a man of integrity.
