The Forum of State Chairmen of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, has declared support for the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Shehu Gabam.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, the Chairman of the Forum, Femi Olaniyi, said the action is not a sign of crisis, but part of an internal cleansing process aimed at upholding the party’s values of transparency and internal democracy.
He emphasised that the SDP remains united and committed to providing Nigerians with a credible political alternative.
The Forum also backed the suspension of the party’s National Auditor, Clarkson Nnadi, and National Youth Leader, Ogbonna Chukwuma.
They cited allegations of financial mismanagement, autocratic leadership, and constitutional breaches.
